There are several places where pricing can be set
- The product pricing tab
- The build option screen
- The actual price list section
1. The Pricing Tab of a Stock Item:

Here you must select a sales category that this product belongs to. Click Add and all price lists belonging to that category will be listed.
If a price was entered into the price list, it will be shown. Prices can be edited from this screen but doing so will probably have the following effects: a) it will trigger a new price list dated tomorrow if the dating thing is turned on b) The current (old) price list may have all pricing set to 0.00 and may become unavailable b) This will make it so you can't do any sales orders for 24 hours until the new price list comes into effect. d) all options will be detached from the new price list and all will have to be individually reattached d) all dealer accounts will be detached

3. The Actual Price List itself
Prices entered here override any other pricing.
This allows you to be very specific about your option pricing.
