Warranty/Stock Standards

Setting Warranty Standards by Stock Category

A Warranty administrator or manager configures each issue for relevant stock categories. For example, "Shutter Failure" might apply to the stock category "Cameras" but not to "MP3 Players". The manager can also choose Always, Default Yes, Default No, or Never for each of the following:

• Is this stock category included for the issue?
• Do parts in this category need to be returned?
• Will parts in this category be replaced (as opposed to credit)
• Are retrofits allowed to this part category under warranty? (e.g. if a new and better part is available)
• Is an image of the damaged part or material required for this category, and if so, include a description of what needs to be photographed
